A quick care guide for man-made fibre wigs or hairpieces:
Day-to-Day Care
For best results and the prolonged life of your purchase, we recommend:
- Before and after wearing, GENTLY pick through the fibre with a soft
wire brush or a toothcomb.
- All wigs and hairpieces must be sprayed with a light mist of silicone
lustre before every wear to protect the piece from daily wear and
tear. For longhair pieces, particular attention must be paid to the
ends and
underneath. This is to prevent friction being caused between the
fibre and your clothes.
- After wearing if the piece feels dry, spray a light mist of conditioner
into your hand and scrunch through the dry areas. NEVER SPRAY CONDITIONER
DIRECTLY ONTO THE HAIRPIECE.
- All curly pieces should not be brushed, instead arrange curls with
fingertips or pick comb. Spray conditioner onto hands and lightly scrunch
curls.
- Always brush your piece from the ends gradually working your way
up to the top. NEVER brush from the top to bottom, NEVER brush vigorously.
If you feel any resistance in the hair when brushing - lift the brush
from the hair and gently pick through the knots.
- To freshen your piece between washes spray with a light film of lustre.
Washing Instructions
(You only need to wash your piece every 20-25 wears)
Because fibre hair is non-porous it does not need to be washed as frequently
as our own hair. To was your wig/hairpiece, follow the steps below.
 |
1. Prior To washing remove all the knots and tangles very
carefully paying particular attention to the nape section. To avoid
tangling when washing the piece can be placed in a mairnet. |
 |
2. Fill a sink of cold water and add a small
amount of wig shampoo. Place the wig/hairpiece into the sink and
allow 5-10 minutes soaking. (If the piece is especially dirty repeat
step 2 again). |
 |
3. Gently rinse in clear cold water. |
 |
4. Pat gently with a towel to remove excess water.
(DO NOT RUB) |
5. Place in a cool area to drip-dry naturally. WIGS/HAIRPIECES
MUST NOT BE SUBJECTED TO ANY HEAT WHILST DRYING.
6. Never brush the piece until it is completely dry
7. When washing and dring curly pieces, always place and leave in
hairnet to avoid curls being stretched.
Important: It is quite normal to loose some fibre hair when following
